"A bit disappointing in the turn up but everyone that came had a great time," Fuller said.
Twelve people turned up for the event which was aimed at encouraging older people to experience the health benefits of sport.
"A lot of people thought they would have to run and jump and they don't," Fuller said.
"You can take two steps and hold the ball longer.
"It is just for gross motor skills.
"For the people with MS or Parkinson's where you have to do exercise.
"Even people coming back from a knee operation or something like that."
There was a mix of ages and abilities and Fuller opened up the event to the Glen Innes Sheltered Workshop participants.
She said there are plans to host it in the future but it won't be until later in the year.
"Word of mouth has gone around and everyone is excited and it will happen again.
"Probably not in the winter time, probably spring."
Anyone interested in trying the walking netball is encouraged to keep an eye out for future event dates.
