​Ben Venue captain Sophie Parsons won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Once again it was Myles Harris clean bowling the Glen opening batter Emery Levy-Blair in the first over.

Glen Innes then settled in with opener Howie Eastwood and number three batter Carter Ferris batting steadily and taking the visitors to 1-51 off 12 overs.

Ferris was dismissed in the 13th over with a clever catch by Myles Harris off the bowling of Samantha Marshall and Glen went to the drinks break looking good at 2-51.

Ben Venue tightened up their bowling in the next five overs with Glen only able to make a further 10 runs during this period.

Number four batter for the visitors Wade Granin was providing good support to Eastwood before he was run out for three after Jackson Taylor hit the stumps with a direct hit from the outfield.

Eastwood then began playing some excellent cricket shots all around the ground after the Ben Venue bowling became a little way-ward. He eventually retired on 43 after a very controlled and patient innings.

After their 25 overs Glen Innes had scored a respectable 96 runs.

Best bowlers for Ben Venue were Myles Harris 1-9 off 5 overs and Samantha Marshall with 1-4 off two.

The Ben Venue opening batters Jared Frost and Jackson Taylor looked settled early scoring 14 runs off the first two overs.

Frost looked in fine form striking the ball well, including a six over square leg, but was out in the third over caught and bowled by Emery Levy-Blair.

This brought Ben Venue Captain Sophie Parsons to the crease however she was dismissed for 0 after she failed to capitalise on a loose delivery and spooned the ball to Howie Eastwood off the bowling of Levy-Blair.

Ben Venue appeared in trouble at 2-25.

Alex Harris joined Taylor at the crease and they both batted carefully defending any good deliveries and scoring from any loose balls.

Harris was eventually caught for eight and Ben Venue were 3-85 off 13 overs.

When Myles Harris joined Taylor the home team only required 13 runs to win and Harris wasn't wasting any time hitting a four from the second ball he faced.

Ben Venue reached 3-98 off 15 overs with Harris and Taylor both not out on five and 18 respectively.

Best bowlers for Glen Innes were Emery Levy-Blair 2-15 off three overs and Jock Maxwell 1-20 off two.

Ben Venue now go on to play Moree Public School in round four.
