Cadence's mum Tracey lauded her efforts with the local weather making it hard to train.
"Her results are fantastic, especially considering she comes from a small country town with a pool that is only open for half of the year," Tracey said.
"To be competitive with the kids from capital cities is amazing."
Cadence also got the chance to meet some of the country's best with Cate and Bronte Campbell at the event.
"It was awesome. I loved meeting Cate and Bronte and it was awesome swimming in the Sydney pool against the best in the State," Cadence said.
"It was a great experience and I can't wait to keep training to be a finalist next year which I only missed by 0.23 seconds this year."
