Glen Innes minor league have secured the hosting rights for the Northern draw of the under-16 and open's league tag Country Championships.
The competition will feature representative teams from Greater Northern, North Coast, Northern Rivers, Newcastle and Central Coast. In previous years, the league tag tournament has taken place over several weekends but the 2019 championships on July 20 is the first time it has been held on one day.
The winning team from the Northern draw will then go on to face Southern NSW's best for the title.
"It is an exciting time for the women's game as it continues to grow in all forms," Greater Northern regional manager Scott Bone said.
