Rachel Jillett and Daniel Schilling have both been named finalists in the Independent Country Music Awards for next year. The ultimate winner will be determined by an online vote - but make sure to cast yours before the August 1 cutoff date.
Ms Jillett's track "1, 2, 3 steps", which was released on her 2018 album "Country Hearted" has seen her name in the top four Australia's most popular independent country music balladeer.
Mr Schilling is in the final five for a photography award for the the cover art of the album, among other photographic work.
It's the first time either of the pair have got the honour.
"I'm so proud of Daniel. He did a wonderful job on my CD cover photography.
"His work is to a very high standard and he is a natural. He deserves this award", Ms Jillett said.
Ultimate winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony to be held in Tamworth, in January next year.
Mr Schilling strongly encouraged Glen Innes residents to vote.
"To bring the trophy or trophies home, for us and Glen Innes would be a true thrill," he said.
Ms Jillett won the won Best Female Gospel Song of The Year in Australia, in the Australian Independent Country Music Artists Brumby Awards in 2017.
That award was judged by 18 country music DJs from around the world.
