Throughout the clash there was a massive defensive effort from both sides.
Just before the half-time hooter, neither team could break through the other's defensive line and something had to give.
Maisie Eastwood on the Armidale line took an opportunity of an intercept and ran five metres to get the points on the board for Glen Innes.
A great conversion kick from in front from Charli Elliott, saw Glen go into half-time with a 6-nil lead.
The second-half was just as tireless defensively, with a few minutes to go in the second-half Armidale got through the line and scored out wide.
With held breath the kick was unsuccessful and the girls got a win 6-4.
Maisie was named player-of-the-match for her efforts.
The under-10s 22-18 went down to Inverell in the dying minutes 22-18.
The Glen Innes under-16 side were beaten by a stronger team on the day 38-10.
Also on the day, Kaleb Hope was awarded joint winner of the under-14 best and fairest award.
