Brisbane-based duo The Mystery Dogs are bringing their brand of finely-honed musicality to the New England region in September, with stops in Armidale, Deepwater, Glen Innes and Tenterfield.

Mark Cryle on mandolin, guitar and vocals is a familiar face in the region from his Murphy's Pigs appearances, with Celtic influences evident in his songwriting. He toured the area last year fronting Asleep at the Reel.
This time he's joined by Richard Evans on guitar, harmonica and vocals, with the two having worked together before in the band Spot The Dog.

Together as The Mystery Dogs Mark and Richard play, sing and write with a rare musical empathy born of a long friendship and shared musical history.
Between them they tap into a vast repertoire of songs, including some of their own creations. In addition to playing a selection of their favourites by other artists, Mark and Richard will be performing songs from Mark's solo album Sideshow Alley which has received widespread airplay.
Catch them at The Welder's Dog in Armidale on Thursday, September 19 from 7.30pm, the Deepwater Longhorn Bar & Grill on Friday, September 20 from 6.30pm, back to Glen Innes's Hereford Steakhouse on Saturday, September 21 for a Classic Songs of the Sixties Show from 6.30pm (bookings essential for this one), and then an afternoon session at Tenterfield's Commercial Boutique Hotel on Sunday, September 22 from 1pm to wrap up the tour.
