Group 19 have pushed back the start of their women's tackle rugby league nines competition by a week.

The competition was due to start this Saturday, October 12 but due to a number of teams unable to take the field and registration numbers low, the competition will now begin on Saturday, October 19 at Inverell's Kamilaroi Oval.

In addition to the open women's and under-17 competition which took place last year, there has also been enough interest to introduce and under-15 tournament for this year.

Dates for all grades will be October 19, November 2 and November 9.

An open's representative team for the 13-a-side Greater Northern trials will also be chosen from the players entering the nines.
