The Old Boys came together to raise money for various charities and groups within the local community and this year's golf day will help Glen Innes firefighters raise money for their annual Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease.
"The main part of our fundarising, Nigel Sharman, him and a couple of other locals are walking up Centrepoint tower with all their fire gear on to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease," Old Boys' president Gav Peterson said.
The event isn't just aimed at rugby league players and keen golfers, but for those who want to come along for a social outing.
"The main focus is that it is a social day," he said.
They managed to raise more than their set target of $2000 and are hoping this year people can get involved and dig deep again.
Peterson is hoping for around 90 golfers again at this Sunday's and said if more organisations turn up and register, the Old Boys will help them out.
"We are also contributing with any sporting organisations and or charity organisations if they submit a team; the Old Boys will make a contribution for their organisation," he said.
They will also have lucky door prizes with six barbeques, among other things, to giveaway.
Registrations for the golf day begin at 8am and there will be a shotgun start at 9am.
It will be run with teams of three and entries are $25 per person.
The Lions club will also have their food van at the Golf Club on the day for catering and refreshments.
