Wearing gear largely taken straight from the Salvation Army store, the parade featured participants on two legs and four.
It was the third year the two organisations have come together for the cause.
The Salvation Army is probably the busiest it has ever been due to the drought, but also continue their core service helping struggling people with all sorts of challenges with clothing vouchers and help in finding shelter.
The RSPCA Glen Innes Volunteer Branch must be commended for caring for local animals, both pets surrendered by their owners and animals that have been neglected or abandoned.
The branch recently found homes for six horses that otherwise have been sold in the sale yards, given a shortage of feed and water during the unprecedented drought.
The branch has also helped donate food for animals evacuated in the face of the recent bushfires wracking the region.
