Glen hosted the second-placed Square and Compass Cricket Club at King George Oval for round nine of the Inverell competition and scored a resounding victory. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat.
Teenage bowler Bradyn Campion was the first to strike for the home side when he bowled Square and Compass' opening batsman Alex Smith for five.
Square and Compass found some rhythm before losing Jack Stafford for 27 off Joel Jackson's bowling.
Campion had his second when Matt Rose was caught on 16 but from there, the visiting side got a roll on.
Their number four and five batsmen, Joe Smith and Jaidon Tasker put on a 124-run partnership before Jake Baker and Tom Chard secured their wickets.
From there, the Square and Compass tail faltered with Baker snaring two more wickets and Jackson one, along with a run out, to finish the innings at 9-231.
Glen Innes bowling: Tom Chard 1-57 from eight overs, Bradyn Campion 2-40 from eight overs, Joel Jackson 2-43 from eight overs, Nathan Matthews 0-28 from four overs, Caleb Hope 0-25 from four overs and Jake Baker 3-36 from eight overs.
Tim Voigt and Ritesh Shakhawat began the Glen Innes run chase in strong style before Voigt was caught on 10 off the bowling of Tom Mitchell.
Shakhawat was bowled by Mitchell on 35.
Joel Jackson and Brandon Levy stepped up and didn't disappoint for the hosts.
Jackson smacked 105 not out while Levy made 44 before he was scalped by Mitchell.
Campion, along with Jackson, remained at the crease with 22 not out for Glen Innes to chase down the required runs in 30.3 overs.
Square and Compass' Mitchell finished as the lone wicket-taker for his side with 3-40 off seven overs.
Round 10 this Saturday will see the Glen Innes side travel to Inverell to play the top-of-the-table Campbell and Freebairn Rebels team for the last game before Christmas.
