Glen Innes, Emmaville, Glencoe and Deepwater were slated for level 5 water restrictions on Wednesday January 1 after an urgent council vote last year.
But after rain in the Deepwater catchment, council made the decision to keep water restrictions at level 4.
Residents are banned from watering their garden with town water, filling swimming pools, or washing outdoor surfaces.
Watering public gardens or sports grounds is restricted to one hour a day by hand held hoses.
Market gardens can be watered by sprinklers for 4 hours a day, with nursaries and commercial flower gardens limited to 2 hours per day.
Automatic flush toilets and fountains are banned, with ready mixed concrete permitted water access only with council permit
