Cadence will chop off her long, blonde locks to raise money for Variety - The Children's Charity's 'Hair with Heart' campaign.
Hair for Heart centres around receiving donations of hair which is then made into wigs for people who have lost their hair through illness.
Variety grant wigs to children who have lost their hair to give them more confidence.
Each wig costs $6000 to make and need to be replaced every one to two years which can cost parents tens of thousands of dollars on top of treatment costs.
The charity is one dear to Cadence's heart with it helping her pursue her goals in the pool.
The current 11 year girls 50m and 100m breaststroke NSW Country Champion was a recipient of a Variety Heart Scholarship.
Cadence is very appreciative of the financial support from Variety, and wanted to give back to the charity.
"I'm donating my hair to help kids with a medical condition who don't have any hair," Cadence said.
"I want to help them feel normal.
"I want to help a child feel special and happy.
"I have currently raised over $500 and would like to raise as much as I can to help cover the cost of making the wig.
"Wigs cost $6000 each to make and I would like to help cover some of the cost for the family."
Not only will Cadence chop her hair, but her grandmother Colleen Willcocks will also cut hers.
Colleen was inspired to join in by Cadence.
The name of her fundraising campaign is "Cadence's Chop for Charity."
She is cutting off 35.5cm of her long, blonde hair.
Salon 242 in Glen Innes is generously cutting their hair free of charge on Friday, January 24.
In the meantime, Cadence is asking for the Glen Innes community to get behind the cause and donate.
