BiG Secretary David Scott, who is responsible for managing the new website, said it uses the most modern technology currently available for their type of directory website.
Business in Glen.com even features an up-to-date mirror of the Glen Innes Examiner website for all the latest news and current events.
"The idea of it is to have every single business in the Glen Inne Severn Shire to have a home of their own whether or not they have a website of their own," he said.
"Its an incredibly powerful website, it's fully integrated with a database of all the current people that we have on the Business in Glen database.
"There is in excess of 300 businesses currently listed."

Businesses can have their name taken off the site if they like, but David can't see any reason why any would want to.
He said the website currently has poor SEO due to inertia from a previous inferior design, but hopes to have it on the first page of Google as the arcane robots that drive its algorithm respond to their design improvements in relatively short order.
He hoped it would help build the Glen Innes brand across Australia and around the world.
"It's one of the most important things in business," he said.
"As we vaunt into this new decade you've got to have an online presence if you want to run an online business."
At the moment each business has an entry with a "rudimentary" amount of information, and it's up to the business owner to flesh that out. David said BiG is happy to help them do that, for the less tech savvy.
He said the site removes any excuse for buying online out of town:
"If you want to find something in Glen we should be able to find it on this website."
The development work started in late November with the website switched on in January.
BiG is planning to run a shop local campaign later this year on the Totally Locally model, planning some training podcasts to help locals improve their businesses.
The town's chamber of commerce will also later this year organise the third biennial Chill in Glen, a consistently successful event celebrating the town's infamously freezing winters. Unfortunately the 2020 event will not feature an ice skating rink, though Glen Innes Severn Council has provided some funding for other attractions.
