The gig is called "inconsistencies", but she promises she won't be late.
Instead the name comes from the eclectic range of tunes - "I don't have a set genre, it's kind of just random," she said, everything from her own music to pop and rock covers.
Miss Luxford is finishing her last year at Glen Innes High School this year. She was last year selected for the Talent Development Project, which prepares students for careers in the entertainment and music industry.
The concert, slated for February 1 at the Glen Innes Services Club, is part of the Project. It's been a learning experience, she said.
"We were given a task from the Talent Development Project to run our own headline show," she said.
"We have to do all our own promoting. Dad's been helping but he's stepped back a lot compared to what he has done in the past for it so I've been trying to push everything.
"It's stressful, but I find it really fun."
Kathryn will be supported by local talent, Tahnee Rose, special guest, Catie Turner and backed with an incredible band filled with local musicians.
