The 2020 show was a massive up on last year, said Show president Andrew Hancock.
But it wasn't the monster trucks, the free gate or the stronger-than-ever competition in the Showgirl competition.
"The weather's played a big part. You couldn't ask for better weather really," he said.
With a shock of green grass and regrowth for the first time in months, the town felt a lot happier than in 2019. But unlike Tenterfield's show last weekend Glen Innes' was unhampered by conditions, with rain mercifully holding off a few days.
President Hancock has had the helm of the event for five years, but this could be his last.
"They've been talking about (having five more) but I say no. I've just about had enough of it.
"We've got some succession plans in place so probably next year we'll have a new president."
That said the monster trucks were pretty good.
"There was a lot of talk about it; people were excited.
"You saw the smiles on kids faces; they were keen.
"When he came out and did those big jumps and wheelies they loved it."
It was free gate at the 2020 show which means estimates are a bit unclear at the moment, but Andrew's guestimate is the show was as well attended as it has been since its 150th event years ago.
"It just encouraged everyone to come and have a good atmosphere."
