After a very successful season 2019, the Glen Innes Celts will be back again this year in an even bigger capacity. The Celts' under-14s played in the AFL North West grand final in the club's inaugural year and hoping to join in on their successes will be an under-17 boys' team.

There has been a lot of hard work and discussions going on between clubs, AFL NSW/ACT and the North West league to get some sort of season underway after the coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
The Celts are looking forward to hitting the playing field with round 1 due to commence on July 18.
"We have a great bunch of kids at the club and it is great to see some new faces come and along to give AFL a go," coach Aaron Harvey said.
"If there are any kids around Glen Innes that aren't playing sport this year due to their club unable to get a season underway and would like to stay active they are more than welcome to come along to training and give AFL a go."
There will be four under-17 and four under-14 teams in the 2020 North West competition.
