With the reopening of the Glen Innes Library on June 9, a review of the Library Users Code of Conduct Policy was on the agenda at the Glen Innes Severn Council meeting last week, in light of COVID-19 considerations.

The policy now includes the pandemic recommendations and obligations advised by the World Health Organisation.
The policy was reviewed in consultation with library staff and council's Management Executive Team.
In a statement council said the policy aims to assist library staff to:
- effectively manage difficult situations within the library;
- inform library members of their responsibilities while using library facilities; and
- reinforce Work, Health and Safety requirements for a safe and comfortable environment for library members.
To ensure safety, visitors who exhibit cold and flu symptoms will be restricted from the library and the Learning Centre.
"Library members are obligated to follow social distancing requirements, use hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes, and observe social space restrictions on chairs, lounges, and study desks," the statement said.
The library is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, but not on Saturdays until further notice. Remember to use the hand sanitiser before entering.
