Face masks have been in short supply amid the coronavirus pandemic and there has been an increase in the demand.
Luckily for residents of Glen Innes local Nancy Rummery has taken to making masks for the community.
Since posting to Facebook Thursday there has been an overwhelming response from the public wanting to buy the masks.
Nancy originally began making face masks for her daughter to wear while teaching.
"I wanted her to be prepared for when school returned," she said.
Nancy has had orders streaming in, and has needed to replenish her supplies.
"I have been making the masks for a week, and getting my material from a local craft store.
"I recently needed to buy more fabric to keep up with the orders I have been getting."
Nancy has been overwhelmed by the number of people who want to purchase my face masks.
Each mask takes me 10 to 15 minutes to make.
It is a quick process now as the more you do it the more you get use to it, and from the recent demand I have gotten use to the process quickly."
By putting a fun face on face masks Nancy is hoping that children will not be scared of the clinical face masks, and will see them as a fun way to stay safe during the pandemic.
"I love all of the different patterns on the mask material, it is putting a fun face on the mask," she said.
"If these masks can make it easier for everyone to stay safe I'm happy to keep making them.
"Knowing that the masks I am making are going to help people stay safe is really encouraging me to keep going."
These day there are less people who know how to sew.
"If I can do my part and help brighten up things during the pandemic by making masks then I will continue to make and sell them for the community."
The re-usable masks are available in a range of different designs, making the practical masks more enticing for people to help protect themselves.
"I have enjoyed the process of making masks for the community and knowing that it will help people stay safe."
