Last Friday was Jeans for Genes day, and The Premier Store Glen Innes has joined with Inverell to fundraise for the foundation to find treatment for children's genetic diseases.

This year the Glen Innes community is getting involved in the competition that the Inverell Premier Store has been running for more than 15 years.
The due date for the submission have been extended a week to August 21 to allow participants more time to create their painted jeans.
All jeans entered to the competition will be exhibited and judged from the Glen Innes store.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the competition for best painted jeans from kindergarten kids to the elderly, there is a category for everyone.Whether you want to paint, embroider, or draw on your old jeans it is a great way to give your old jeans a second use.

To participate in the competition drop off your painted jeans, the entry form and the $5 entree fee before August 21. Entries will be displayed in the front window of the store.
The competition will be divided and judged by categories, Kindy, Primary School, Grade 7-9, Grade 10-12, and Open.
The winner in each category will win a surf wear backpack with surfwear accessories inside. Second place will receive wallets, pencil cases and other accessories.
The overall winner across all categories will receive a $50 voucher to The Premier Store and the option to sell their jeans to the store for an additional $50.
Everyone is encouraged to enter the competition, time is running out to submit your personally designed jeans to The Premier Store to help support a worthy cause.
