The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Glen Innes Hospital on Saturday night, to transfer a young woman who was suffering from a medical condition to Tamworth.

At about 11pm on Saturday, September 26, the chopper was tasked on a medical retrieval to Glen Innes Hospital.

The 24-year-old female patient was retrieved by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and transported to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital suffering a medical condition which required specialist treatment.

The patient was stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to the flight to Tamworth.

She was in a stable condition. No further details on the woman's condition were provided.
