Ten girls bowled for THS with Amelia Wishart bowling her six overs and claiming 4-6. Other wicket-takers include: Kyanne Fowler five overs 1-8; Adele Butler four overs 2-9; Sophie Lyons two overs 1-7; Nessa Butler two overs 1-9; Zali Richards two overs 1-10; Renee Jenkins four overs 1-26; Rosie Cross five overs for 0-18; May'c Giddy four overs for 0-20 and Ellie Thomas two overs for 0-15.
Congratulations to cricket debutant Sophie Lyons on claiming an impressive leg-before-wicket and taking a catch in her first game.
The THS fielding was of a consistently high standard with Renee, Amelia, Kyanne and Sophie holding on to all four catches offered by Glen Innes.
Tenetti Spiller was excellent behind the stumps with safe hands and nice glove work in her first game as wicket-keeper.
In reply, Tenterfield could only muster 106 runs.
Skipper Amelia led the way top-scoring in the game with 43 runs, an innings which included five fours.
Renee compiled a technically impressive 14 runs and had a strong opening stance with Zali who made six runs. Kyanne and Nessa both chipped in with nine runs.
The young team had very little preparation time for the game and should be commended for their outstanding team spirit and sportsmanship. Many thanks to Ralph Weatherley and David Druery for umpiring the game, Terry Kneipp for his dedicated scoring and Elsie Cross for assistance with scoring the game. Thanks also to Jayson Murphy and crew for preparing the turf pitch for our game.
