Encouraging the community to buy local, the campaign began on Monday, with over $10,000 in prize money up for grabs.
This is the 13th year of the 'Spend in Glen' promotion in its current structure.
The plan for this year is to hold four draws of 10 $250 prizes.
All of the $10,000 will be returned to local businesses as 40 $250 EFTPOS cards which can be spent only at the participating businesses.
Shoppers are eligible by purchasing $20 worth of products from a large range of participating business in a single transaction.
The docket from the transaction will be placed into a provided envelope that is marked with the shoppers' contact details, and entered into one of the specially marked bins situated throughout the CBD.

Glen Innes Severn Council has allocated $10,000 to Spend in Glen Innes Highlands in 2020.
GIHVA and BEST Employment have each donated $500.00 to the promotion. The Glen Innes Examiner is also a sponsor of the promotion.
All businesses within the Glen Innes Severn LGA are eligible to take part in the promotion by paying a fee of $50.
Coordinator Moira Munro said the aim of the promotion is to encourage residents to shop locally during the pre-Christmas period.
"Look in Glen Innes first. You may be pleasantly surprised," she said.
The promotion will run from the start of business on Monday, November 16 to close of business on Friday, December 18.
The first draw will be held at the same time as Christmas in the Highlands, on Thursday, November 26.
Ms Munro says she hopes the competition will convince people to check in local stores before going out of town or online.
