Australia Day will be a day to celebrate at Deepwater School of the Arts Hall for more reasons than one this year.

The Australia day breakfast celebrations are being held at the Deepwater School of the Arts Hall on Tuesday, January 26 commencing at 8am.

Following the Australia Day breakfast Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, will announce the official opening of the Deepwater Hall after all completed renovations.

After the breakfast celebration at Deepwater Hall the official Australia Day proceeding will continue at the Glen Innes District and Services Club Auditorium at 10.30am where a free morning tea will be provided. The Morning tea and street banners were provided courtesy of the National Australia Day Council.

At the assembly the Australia Day Award winners will be announced by Australia Day Chair, Jan Lemon, the following are the nominees in each category;
