Forty volunteers volunteered along with support from Guyra CWA throughout the day, and the Glen Innes Masonic Lodge 44 raised $750 which will be used for maitainence.
Orgainser Peter Davis was delighted with the response and was appreciative of the opportunity to host the fundraiser project.
Masons have had an important prescence in the Glen Innes Community for over 100 years "making good men better" with a call for new members to contact Peter @ TSG.
The UNE/MLA meat tasting is industry funded and the survey results have an important role in determining consumer taste trends.
The MLA research started in the 1990's as an industry response to the issue of falling consumption and market prices.
This project has been growing since then, using community groups in meat tasting to try and predict and guarantee how beef would eat.
