During the month of June, two talented local artists will be in residence along Glen Innes Highlands' iconic and historic main street.
Drop in during the opening hours to purchase some of their art, discuss their craft and you can also book into a workshop over the month.
"There were many visitors over the launch weekend and we are thrilled with the feedback of locals and visitors wanting to see the artists in action" said Rhonda Bombell, Glen Innes Tourism and Events Officer. "Creating work, with the public watching, has really taken these artists out of their comfort zone but they are enjoying the process"
Mayor Carol Sparks said the Artist in Residency initiative gives artists the opportunity to work outside their usual environments, 'providing them with time to reflect and be inspired by a new creative space'.
"It gives locals and visitors an opportunity to observe the creative process and perhaps be inspired themselves to create which is so important for our mental health and well-being," she said.
Marianne la Cour, Colours on Grey has upcoming Watercolour workshops in landscapes and flowers, all with her unique abstract palette and Celtic Artist Peter Grimes has workshops on traditional Celtic knots, drawing and colouring as well as studying the art of Zoomorphism.
