A group of Glen Innes clubs have joined forces to bring a little extra joy for local families with a Christmas Toy Drive.
It comes after the Glen Innes Highlands Lioness-Lions, Glen Innes Lions and Glen Innes LEO Clubs were named 2021 beneficiaries of sponsorship by CWP Renewables - Sapphire Wind Farm.
This project was intended to provide children in need with a sense of love and community at Christmas, while supporting local business which has struggled through drought, fire and then COVID restrictions.
It also provided an opportunity for the Glen Innes Highlands Lioness-Lions, Glen Innes Lions and Glen Innes LEO Cubs to liaise and support the staff at Glen Innes Family and Youth Support Service in their work.
Lions Clubs provided wrapping materials and appropriate gift tags and came together to wrap and donated the gifts to Glen Innes Family and Youth Support for distribution at Christmas time.
The members of the Glen Innes Highlands Lioness-Lions Club, Glen Innes Lions Club, and Glen Innes LEO Club would like to express their appreciation to CWP Renewables - Sapphire Wind Farm and the Glen Innes Youth and Family Service for their generosity and support of this project.
