The workshops will target topics relating to improving farmers physical, mental and financial fitness.
The Fit Farmers workshop is now an annual event for GLENRAC and will run on the national R U OK Day; a reminder for everyone to ask family and friends “are they ok” during difficult times.
Guest speakers will include representatives from NSW Workcover, HealthWISE New England North West, Andrew Mahony from ABC New England North West who is on Wellness Wednesday, Rural Fit, Rural Financial Counselling Service and The Ascent Group.
The presentations will be short and filled with useful information that can be taken away to use straight on the farm.
The workshops will promote NSW WorkCover’s Small Business rebates that are available to any small business employing less than 50 people.
The Small Business rebate offers eligible business’s $500 to help you run a safe and productive farm and covers a wide range of safety related products.
To be eligible you must attend an information session such as this workshop, attend a webinar or have a site visit.

HealthWISE New England North West (new organisation replacing Medicare Local New England) will be on hand to conduct health checks during the lunch break.
Morning tea will be available from 9:30am and a BBQ lunch will follow the workshop.
The launch of the “Friends with Health Benefits” program for participants will commence following lunch with an introductory session and fitness assessments.
The Fit Farmers workshop are free attend those interested thanks to the support of the FRRR’s Tackling Tough Times Together.
