"Shakespeare under the Stars" began in November last year as part of Shakespeare 400 commemorating the 400th anniversary of the playwrights passing.
The Australian Standing Stones National Monument in Glen Innes was the perfect venue for the evening.
This year "A Midsummer Night's Dream - A Fairytastic Evening" featured excerpts from the fairy realm inhabited by Titania, Oberon and a host of fairies, elves, and nymphs.
A delicious meal of roasted quail in cranberry glaze with seasonal vegetables, and deconstructed pavlova was provided by Crofters Cottage Cafe on site with the foodstuffs transported from the kitchen to the "Stones' by ute - Aussie style.
Funds were raised for local animal rescue initiatives and kitchen renovations for Land of the Beardies Museum.
