After winning the toss the Colts looked determined to post a winning score.
Cavaliers captain Greg Wilkins said Swaffer destroyed his team’s bowling attack.
“Swaffer belted some short-pitched bowling from us to all parts of King George Oval,” he said.
“His big hitting 91 took any hopes we had of posting our first victory against the Colts.”
Swaffer said he felt good at the crease on the day.
“Once I hit the first boundary I felt pretty good out there so I decided to keep in an aggressive frame of mind, he said.
“It was probably the first time all season they came off the middle of the bat, the 60 odd I made a few weeks ago was very lucky because I was dropped a few times.”
Wilkins said Steve Johnson also batted well for the Colts.

“Johnson supported Swaffer really well and his 30 runs put the Colts on the front foot early,” Mr Wilkins said.
“They didn’t have it all their own way, I think we did restrict them to a gettable total.
“A very tidy spell of spin bowling from Hugh Mitchell who took 4 for 19 slowed the Colts to 8 for 146 after their 20 overs.”
Best bowlers for the Cavaliers were Hugh Mitchell and Trevor Moir who took 2 for 6.
The Cavaliers decided they would be aggressive early to try and unsettle the Colts bowling and the plan seemed to work for a while.
“Ritesh Shekhawat took to the crease for the Cavaliers and blasted a quick fire 32, so being aggressive looked like a good plan,” Mr Wilkins said.
Shekhawat was well supported by Hugh Mitchell who capped off one of his best games of the season with a well compiled 17.
“But we had another batting collapse which lost us the game.
“We just could not get the runs required to beat the Colts, we had James Speedy stranded on16 not out at the end and he looked pretty good, but we fell short on overs once again.”
Best bowlers for Colts were Jarrod Collins who took 3 for 5 and Matt Campion who took 2 for 24.
The Cavaliers finished their 20 overs with 102 on the board.
The 40 over matches resume on January 28, 2017.
Emmaville will play the Tavern in Emmaville and the other match will be the Kings verse the Colts at Lynch Oval. The Cavaliers have the bye
