The New England and North West Area Long Course Championships took place over two days where swimmers from Muswellbrook, Tamworth, Narrabri, Moree and in between competed to take home the medals.
Kyara McIntyre, Cadence McShane, Beth Arandale and Mary Arandale qualified to represent Glen Innes, bringing home many personal best times, ribbons and medals.
Fourteen-year-old Kyara McIntyre was awarded two silver and a bronze medal and was a top six finalist in every event she entered.
Ten-year-old Cadence McShane brought home a silver and two bronze medals, a finalist ribbon, and personal best times in all eight events she entered.
10 year old Beth Arandale also swam her way to a finalist ribbon, and proudly swam five personal bests.
The youngest Glen Innes swimmer, eight year old Mary Arandale impressed with a gold and a bronze medal, two finalist ribbons and five personal best times.
Also held at the meet were the area’s Speedo Sprint Heats.
Open to competitors between the ages of eight and thirteen, the top four place getters were invited to the finals held next month.
Cadence McShane and Mary Arandale both qualified to compete at the finals taking place at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
