Every year, the Red Cross in Glen Innes collects funds at about this time. This year, it will be on April 4. Students from the High School will go door-to-door.

The Red Cross in Glen said: “This is the 70th year Red Cross Calling has been in operation and we at the Glen Innes Branch will continue to support this very worthy fundraiser.
“The Year 10 students and their Advisor and Teachers will participate in Red Cross calling by way of door knocking.”
Last year, the school baked cakes for the Red Cross.
The organisation’s Annette Law said: “The Red Cross is always here whether it’s during a crisis or giving someone the tools they need to build a better life.
It sold teh cakes at a stall outside the Town Hall. “Every dollar raised goes to support the work of the Red Cross, helping people overcome crises, big and small.”
The Red Cross said: “All donations raised goes to support the everyday work of Red Cross, including to help people overcome crisis in Australia and beyond - whether that's helping to build healthy communities, giving someone a safe place to stay, or supporting people as they recover from an emergency.”
