More than 150 primary school students competed in track and field events, encouraged by fellow students and family members.
Some students excelled in the discus, high jump, and long jump; others in the 200 metre or 800 metre races; others in novelty events like tug-of-war and ball games.

The event was the culmination of trials held since last term to see who would be eligible to compete.
Sports co-ordinator Jane Lawrence said the carnival encouraged “great sportsmanship and camaraderie in age groups and houses,” and was a chance to get in and have a go.
She wanted to thank high school students and P&C members who helped out.
“The day couldn’t have run without them,” she said.
