Christopher Paul Hennessy was on trial in Brisbane Supreme Court over the May 2016 death of Aldo Casasola, who was crushed in his car when the truck's amusement ride load allegedly swung out.
On Thursday, the prosecution abandoned the case and Hennessy, who pleaded not guilty, was discharged.
