Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said the clubhouse, built in 1967, has suffered the slings and arrows of age, particularly its leaky roof.
"The current clubhouse was built in 1967 and sadly over that time the roof has deteriorated, allowing rain to leak into the building causing internal damage and the frantic rush for buckets to catch the stray water whenever it rains," Mr Marshall said.
"I was pleased to be able to support the club's efforts to secure this funding, in particular because 2019 marks 100 years since the first clubhouse and green were built on the site where the Glen Innes Motel now stands."
The project was funded to the tune of $77,589 by the NSW state government, through the stronger country communities fund, one of nine Glen Innes projects. Adam Marshall visited Glen Innes on Monday, and also inspected the Grey street upgrade and the showgrounds.
Across the Northern Tablelands, more than 60 community projects received funding through the SCCF, worth more than $11 million.
