The Roosters beat the Celts 15.14-104 to 2.2-14 in their AFL North West under-14 clash but Harvey believes the scoreline doesn't reflect the game.
"Our skill levels and our teamwork over the day was outstanding," he said.
"The kids are really playing as a team and not individuals.
"There was some good passages of play on the day and we were unable to capitalise on the scoreboard.
"We have been training since February and none of these kids have ever played before.
"To see where they have come from to now is just outstanding regardless of the results they are getting."
Sunday's match was played at King George Oval and Harvey said Glen Innes locals have embraced the club and the sport.
"Club-wise, we are going along fairly strongly," he said.
"It is great to see the crowd and community get behind us and come down and see what it is all about."
The Glen Innes Celts have one more round of the AFL North West regular season with a Super Sunday in Tamworth before semi-finals.
