Expressions of interest for the holding close on September 30 after a rapid two-week sales campaign.
Hume Coal, which is a subsidiary of Korean steel-making company POSCO, had intended to develop a coal mine on the site.
Those plans were thwarted when the Independent Planning Commission knocked back the proposal in late August, citing environmental concerns, and the company listed the properties for sale soon after.
An agglomeration of nine properties spanning two separate locations, the 1308 hectare parcel, which includes historic Mereworth House, is now being sold in one line.
"The nine properties will not be sold separately, I can't stress that enough," listing agent Kim Watts of Ray White Rural said.
"My client will only sell in one job lot which includes nine properties located across Sutton Forest, Berrima, Mossvale, Medway and Hume Coal's offices in Berrima township."
The most high profile of the properties listed for sale, the nine-bedroom Mereworth House dates back to 1820 and was built to designs from acclaimed architect John Amory.
1970ML of water licences are also on offer as part of the sale.
Ms Watts said that initial interest had included corporations and high-net worth individuals.
"I anticipate significant interest from a range of sectors including developers given that the majority of the assets on offer are located within Wingecarribee Shire's RU2 and E3 Zoning areas where minimum lot sizes of 40ha or 100 acres are listed as allowed with consent," Ms Watts said.
The surrounding area has been popular with celebrities and high-profile businesspeople in recent years.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban own a property in nearby Sutton Forest, while Mike Cannon-Brookes, co-founder of tech company Atlassian, has accumulated a number of properties in the Southern Highlands in recent years.
