RESIDENTS in Glen Innes will be able to ensure they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 ahead of the festive season.
Hunter New England Health will host walk-in Pfizer clinics during the next month.
The first Glen Innes clinic is on this Saturday, November 27 between 9am and 2pm at the Glen Innes Health Service, 94 Taylor Street.
The follow-up clinic will be at the health service on Saturday, December 18.
People 12 years and older are eligible for vaccination, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The clinics are simple to attend; all you need to do is turn up with your Medicare card and ID, and roll up your sleeve.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall said there was no better present you could you give your family this Christmas than the relief of knowing you are doing your bit to protect yourself and them from COVID-19.
Mr Marshall said with infections continuing to spread in Inverell and Moree Plains shires, vaccination remained vital.
"With the summer school holidays approaching, time is running out for these communities to get their vaccination rates up before we see further spread of the virus as people travel," he said.
"Both Inverell and Moree have vulnerable populations with low vaccination rates and these people really need to make the most of the accessible vaccination opportunities available.
"There is ample supply of both vaccine and appointments and I implore those who have held out to please roll up their sleeve and get the jab."
