Doug is the proud owner of a 2007 VE SS Commodore and has recently joined the NSW SS Group after finding them on Facebook.
About 17 members of the group travelled from Nambucca Heads, Ballina, Yamba and Tamworth to join in on the day and show off their Commodores.
The group met at the Standing Stones at around noon on Sunday and made their way down to the Reynolds’ house on Dumaresq Street shortly after for a barbeque lunch and an afternoon of talking shop.
Doug said the event was a great success and was astounded at the nature of the day.
“It was a really nice day, with a family orientated feel and no idiot factor,” he said.
“We just all really enjoy nice cars that sound good,
“There was nothing too flash, no modifications and more of the older cars.”
The group is currently working on plans to meet up at the Holden Vs Fords competition at the Beardies Festival later this year.
