A commitment by the Australian Celtic festival committee to provide interesting and diverse attractions at this year’s festival appears to have worked.
Committee Chairperson Lara Gresham said that she has had positive feedback from the public, participants and town businesses regarding this year’s festival.
“The parade was a big hit with a lot of comments saying it was the best parade we have ever had,” she said.
“We had high calibre performers, a huge number of stalls and things like the strongman competition had their largest crowds ever.
"New things like the Celtic wedding have the committee thinking of other ways of bringing Celtic traditions to the fore at the festival."
“Saturday night’s concert featuring Christine Collister was brilliant and everyone had a great time, Brothers3 were enjoyed by young locals which was good to see as the committee did try for a more modern perspective with this year’s music program.”
