The day consisted of a warm up and drills, umpiring instruction, rules and modified games to help educate new players about the game.
Netball rules can be very difficult for new participants so the modified rules allowed for a fun-filled, non-competitive experience.
Many girls that participated had a great time.
"It’s an enjoyable sport and you make new friends and hang out with your old friends, we enjoy running around and it feels good to be involved in a team,” Alex Wright and Lulu Beatty said.
“Playing netball is fun and meeting new friends from our community,” Livinia Whyte said.
“I like playing netball because it’s fun and you get new skills,” sister Callie said.
