The case of 57-year-old Allan Charles Matthews from Glen Innes was briefly mentioned in the Port Macquarie District Court on Tuesday in front of Judge Leonie Flannery and was adjourned to October 16.
Matthews did not appear on four charges including causing grievous bodily harm to person with intent, possess/attempt to prescribed restricted substance, reckless grievous bodily harm and removing tissue from the body of another without consent/authority.
The charges stem from an incident in Port Macquarie on May 16, 2016.
Police allege Matthews surgically removed the left testicle of a 52-year-old.
It is the Crown's case that Matthews is not qualified or authorised to perform such a procedure.
Police allege the 52-year-old victim attended a motel room after posting an advertisement online.
The man presented himself to hospital a week after the alleged incident.
Judge Flannery said bail would continue.
