More than 900 junior rugby league players from across the region made their way to Glen Innes on Saturday to lace up their boots and take to the field in the annual Gordon Creighton Cup.

Under 8s through to under 16s and senior league tag played two games each with the hope of winning the Cup for the most successful club on the day.
Competition was fierce but it was Inverell who walked away winners.
Glen Innes Minor League hosted the gala day in conjunction with a Variety Bash fundraiser and club president Adrian Bruce said it was very successful event and will be back again next year.
"Everything ran smoothly, from the little bit of feedback I have had so far, everyone had a great day,” he said.
"The kids had a wow of a time and that is what it is all about.”
