The MG Car Club of Sydney revved through Glen Innes on their way to Tamworth recently – stopping by the Super Strawberry for some much-needed refreshments.

The visit was part of a larger tour, as the group made their way around the New England and Northwest region.
“We’ve been to Gloucester, Nambucca Heads, Grafton and Inverell [so far],” member Brian McKenzie told The Examiner.
“We do this every year about this time of year.
“So far we’ve been lucky [because] we’ve had the best weather.”
Last year the group drove further south and in 2015 they visited the Snowy Mountains – so they were looking forward to a slightly warmer trip this time round.
The M.G.Car Club NSW held its first AGM in February 1950 and became the first MG Club in Australia.
The group also have affiliations with the MG Car Club UK as well as other major motoring organisations and MG car clubs across the country.
