Victories in all grades for minor league

Glen Innes Magpies travelled to Moree and enjoyed not only a warm sunny day but also some great games of footy.

Under 8s

Under 8s had a tough match against a very strong Moree team.

Everyone tried hard and the whole team is showing improvement every game.

Hunta Ferris continues to impress in defence with Mav Burgess and Riley Dawson showing skills they have learnt this season.

The score ended up being 40-16.

Good effort under 8s.

Junior League Tag

The junior league tag girls had a sluggish start to their game but with some great defensive work especially from marker and throwing the ball around probably the best yet for the season they got a well deserved win against Moree,16-10.

Under 10s

The under 10s had another exciting game on the weekend coming out winners 28-22.

It was a gutsy effort by the whole team to keep ahead of their tough opposition and the whole teams effort is to be commended.

Referee points 3. George Chard 1. Caleb Kemp

Under 12s

Under 12s played their best team game against Moree this weekend winning 36-10 only a few little errors in there game but we can work on them well done boys on another great game.

Senior League Tag

The senior league tag girls had a very solid win against Moree 28-6.

We scored six tries shared between six different players which is an indication of how the team is playing.

Youngsters Taya, Nhula, Jasmine, Kaziah, Hayley and Keisha played very well and are growing in confidence.

Keisha sustained an injury in the game and we wish her and her thumb a speedy recovery.

Under 14s

The mighty Under 14s came up against a strong Moree team on Saturday which made for a tight and challenging game.

The boys went into half time 6 points down but by the final whistle they came out on top 28-22.

Well done to all the boys for digging deep to win the game.
