Glen Innes Netball: Showcase of skills in tough conditions

The wind was horrendous on Saturday, but netball still drew a good crowd.

In the Junior Division, Magpies were too strong for Firebirds winning 11-1. MVPs went to Phoebe Vimpany and Summer Cooper who played well all over the court. Vixens defeated Fever 6-0 with defenders Edith Newberry and Sophie Watt taking out the MVPs.

In the Intermediate Division, Swifts outshone Thunderbirds 35-8 with Phoebe Vimpany awarded her second MVP for the day while Kyiesha Naden took out the other MVP.  In a close game Giants went down to Lightning 9-11 with Louisa Beatty’s shooting earning her an MVP, while Newberry picked up her second.

Victorious Secrets defeated Tavern in the Open Division 30-26.  MVPs to Jess DeJong and Kristen Bailey.  CRT finally came home with a win against a determined Col Say & Co 23-16.  \MVP’s were awarded to exceptional defenders Sara Beatty and Elanore Malone.  Panel and Paint were too strong for Collingwood winning 26-16. Cassidy Mossman and Sophie McCormick both received MVPs for their work in centre court.
