Glen Innes Netball: Saturday showdown to decide premiers

It was a brilliant day of semi-final netball on Saturday and matches are now decided for the grand finals on Saturday, September 9, with the Presentation Night to follow.

In the Junior Division, Magpies defeated Firebirds 7-2 with Amber Bryant and Summer Cooper both having a great game.  

Vixens defeated Fever 11-2 with Sophie Watt and Paige Floyd both putting in outstanding efforts.

In the Intermediate Division, Lightning were too strong for Swifts winning 21-10 with Bridie Williamson and Tala Mepham both standouts.  

Giants defeated Thunderbirds 27-6. Charlotte Cameron getting a mention for her great defence and Charli Lynn made an impact with her speed all over the court.

The Opens Division is heating up for the finals with three tight games being played.  

Victorious Secret continued their form taking out the major semi-final against Col Say & Co winning 32-27 with Jess De Jong and Emma Davy both making a big impression on court.  

In an animated game Panel and Paint were too strong for Tavern in the minor semi-final winning 29-23.  

Jane Lawrence and Cassidy Mosman both played well.

Playing off for the wooden spoon CRT were able to take home the win against Collingwood 25-21 who never showed any sign of giving up.  

Annaleese Cameron’s outstanding defence and Tayla Fuller’s speed midcourt both had a big impact on the game.
