The Glen Innes Hospital Auxiliary raised around $50,000 in the latest year on record, according to its President, Jan Sharman.
She said the money had gone to provide “equipment that the government would never give for a small hospital.”
Volunteers have held raffles, baked cakes and staffed stalls. Companies have given.
“The people of this town are very generous. It’s a town effort for patients’ comfort.”
Among the items are a freezer for pathology.
