These include: a visit by the “Life Education Van and Healthy Harold” where students explored the way bodies work; working with the police liaison officer on online safety; healthy lunch boxes, including those entered in the Glen Innes Show; lessons about mental health with Bruce Winter from Hunter New England Health, learning about resilience and how the brain works and how to keep it healthy.
One of the teachers aid: “We had 100 per cent participation at our local small school swimming carnival. We will host a visit from Health Wise in early April, to learn about oral hygiene and how to blow our nose properly as winter approaches.”
