Riley Martin has had one of his paintings accepted by the New England Regional Art Museum in Armidale for an exhibition of the best work by New England students.
The artistic streak runs in the family because his brother, Lachlan, had his art selected for Art Express, the showcase for the very best in creative work by students in the state.
Riley is one of 66 students whose work has made it to the “Let’s hang It!” at the Armidale gallery. It opens on July 27.
Museum Director, Rachael Parsons, said of the works: ““It is a wonderful opportunity to provide recognition and exposure for emerging talent”.
Lachlan is currently trying to raise $30,000 to take his work to a higher plane. He’s been accepted to the University of the Arts in London, one of the best arts schools in the world.
